Can you enjoy your Nespresso with a clear conscience?
Nespresso not only works so that every cup of coffee gives you a moment of pleasure but constantly works to preserve and build up communities and the environment. Sustainability is therefore an important part of how we do business.
What is the environmental impact of your cup of coffee?

PACKAGING PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY ACCOUNT FOR ONLY 8% OF YOUR COFFEE’S CARBON FOOTPRINT
PACKAGING PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY ACCOUNT FOR ONLY 8% OF YOUR COFFEE’S CARBON FOOTPRINT
As you can see in the chart above, the packaging production and delivery only account for 8% of your 40ml Nespresso’s carbon footprint. We are on a mission to help our business customers recycle, so the aluminum can be used again. Not only is aluminum the best material to protect the aromas of our coffees, but it’s also infinitely recyclable.
By recycling your capsules, you can further reduce the carbon footprint of a cup of Nespresso (Source: Quantis2020 Swiss B2B LCA). All aluminum capsules we collect from your office, hotel or restaurant are sent for recycling with Stena Recycling Sweden. The coffee is turned into compost and the aluminum is turned into new aluminum objects.
